Current Projects

The images above are from a project that started in August 2006 and was completed in August 2007.  The home was originally designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright as a cottage or guest house for Don and Virginia Lovness of Stillwater, MN.  As you view the images note the extensive use of the local limestone.  All exterior and interior walls are stone, as well as the showers, stairway and exterior patio walls.
The images above are from a private residence built in Rice Lake, WI.  The Montana stone is collected from the surface and has developed a weather-aged patina that makes it seem as if it has been there for years.  This project was completed in October and November 2007.  The timber frame contractor was Mark Cutter of Fox Creek Builders.
The images above are from a private residence currently under construction in Dellwood, MN.  The architect and home owners have chosen a blend of stone and brick for the exterior veneering on this project.  At ground level you will notice the use stones with colonies of lichen and mosses that give the stone an ancient and grounded feel.  Boulders will be used at many corners give the structure the appearance of being built on boulder outcroppings.
This is the start of a garden shed originally begun by the homeowner in Clear Lake, WI.  When she realized she had over-estimated how quickly she could lay stone, she contacted David.  She had completed the footing and slab work and had started to pile stone in 2002.  The fieldstone was picked at a local farm.  When the homeowner completes the framed portion of the structure we will be sure to add new pictures.
